Our Story         Volunteer         Donate
Dear R.O.C.K. Subscribers:

September marks the start of R.O.C.K.’s 21st year of service to children, youth and their families in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley.

Whether you are a volunteer, a donor or simply a supporter of what we do, we thank you and hope you continue to engage with us as we continue to grow.  We are excited with all of the positive changes we have recently experienced as they represent a reboot of who we are as we charge into the next decade.

We are proud to announce the launch of R.O.C.K.’s refreshed brand.
Over the past eight months, we have worked in partnership with an outstanding firm, Persius Creative, to create an identity that preserves our old brand while creating something fresh and new.
This was no easy task as it involved countless hours of interviewing key stakeholders, nit-picking on design elements and detailing our messaging. It was a team effort and we are excited with the end result. I think we nailed it! Make sure to see for yourself as we have a variety of new assets including an updated logo, a new website, new social media art and much more. Let us know what you think over social media.
R.O.C.K.'s Change of Address

R.O.C.K. has been forced to leave its old location of over 15 years at 590 Leland Ave.  The old church (we were in the basement) was purchased to make room for houses, and unfortunately, we were in search of a new location.  Cleaning out the old office was sad as it was difficult to leave a location after so many years.  We have so many great memories including working with high school students to paint our R.O.C.K. virtue mural, holding many great classes in our computer lab and meeting with middle students as they went on an outdoor adventure.

However, we are excited to announce our new office location just down the street at 73 Leland Ave., complete with a large blue, white and green R.O.C.K. sign out front to go along with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpet.  While it is a bit smaller, let’s say cozier, it is new on the inside and we are excited to begin a new chapter in the evolution of R.O.C.K.

Curt Yagi
After spending over a decade in various small and large for profit companies, Curt Yagi left the business world to pursue a full-time career in nonprofits and became R.O.C.K.'s Executive Director in 2003. As a long-time volunteer, board chair, Curt is able to bridge the gap between the for profit and non profit sectors by creating a strategic thinking organization run like a business combined with the passion of direct service work.
Your donation can help R.O.C.K. in many ways.
