1st Place in the 2017 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon

This year was quite the exciting year for our Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon team! For the first time in the history of the race, the swim was cancelled due to dangerous tide and wind conditions. Although R.O.C.K. teammate Katie Fast wasn’t able to technically escape from Alcatraz, that didn’t stop her from rocking the competition. She came in first in her age group, and 21st for women overall. As if her super athletic abilities weren’t enough to bring R.O.C.K. so much pride, she was also our top fundraiser, almost doubling her fundraising goal and raising almost $4,000 for R.O.C.K.
